Face; Oval shaped with sharp features. Full-lips and has a crooked smile.
Body; 6’0” with a lanky, but lean body type lined with defined muscles. Besides his scars, his skin is flawless and beautiful with a bright fair tone.
Markings; Kylar’s back is riddled with scars, all varying in shape and size. Some are from the crack a whip, going across most of his back with clean lines. Others are jagged and shorter. On the right side of his abdomen, he has a linear stab scar set at an angle. His last scar is a brand mark, taking the shape of a serpent with a triangular background. This is branded into his left calf.
Additional markings consist of tattoos he’s gotten over the years. On his chest, he has a large bird that resembles a phoenix. On the left side of his neck, he has a human skull with a snake sliding out of the eye sockets. Most of his left arm is covered in a variety of other tattoos, all mostly consisting of his experiences. Perhaps that most relevant is the centipede that is ‘crawling around his elbow’.
Hair; Blue-Black and thick. Kept short, to about the length of his jawline, and is uneven. One side is generally shorter than the other.
Eyes; Almond shaped and a beautiful shade of grey. They may look blue or green in certain lighting.
True Form; A large, giant centipede. Length wise, he’s around 18 feet, and width around two feet. When he raises his front half, he’s around eight feet in height. Each segment of his body is about 1 foot in length, and each of those segments has one set of legs.
Additionally, Kylar also has deadly claws like all centipedes. They’re not poisonous, but they are thick as swords and sharp as knives.
Clothes; Likes loose fitting clothing, particularly anything that lets him easily show off his tattoos. Has a few piercings, two loops at the top of his right ear and a loop around the side of his nose.
Personality:
Cannibalistic; Both Kylar and Damien had been forced to cannibalize at a young age to survive, and because of that they relied on it while they suffered on the streets. After relying on it, Kylar prefers to eat other humanoid flesh (mainly in his true form) instead of anything else.
Impulsive; Almost manic at times, he can be very unpredictable as well as randomly violent. This is not extremely common, but it’s not unheard of from him, especially while in his true form.
History:
Kylar grew up as a slave and was purchased along with his brother, Damien. He never knew his parents, and was owned by noble human family in the City known as the Valleiians. They were cruel and were known to abuse their slaves excessively. Anything that Kylar did wrong, they would punish him. He did a bit of everything; labor, cooking, cleaning, errands. Sometimes he was tormented in front of guests just for entertainment.
Eventually, Damien convinced Kylar to attempt to run away, and attempt they did. They were caught the first time and severely beaten till near death. Though traumatic, they attempted it again, and were more successful the second time.
For the first few weeks of living on the streets, they had no idea how to survive on their own. Starving, they two of them killed another staring, weak man and, unable to contain themselves, ate what they could. Since this seemed like the best way for them to survive out on the streets, as they were not good with hunting or stealing. It only took a few months before the Hounds actively started looking for them, and the two were forced to leave the City so they would not be caught and executed. After hoping onto merchant’s caravan, they left from The City to Spirit.
Kylar grew obsessed with the way he hunted. It went past just killing people for food however, and eventually lead to killing as a way to kill boredom. He wasn’t interested in holding a job, so it seemed like a decent alternative. It was much easier for him to deal with the local gangs and angry family members than the Hounds after all.
Damien is Kylar’s older brother. He’s the only person that he has any form of emotional attachment to. Damien is very similar to his brother and comes off as being very friendly and trustworthy. Though he uses these traits to his advantage to trick potential meals, he’s different from Kylar in that he does form emotional attachments to other people and is not a sociopath. He does have trust issues and would do anything to keep Kylar safe, but in comparison he is the least dangerous of the two.
Damien’s true form is a small white moth. He lets Kylar do the killing and can usually be seen sitting on his brother’s true form body as they hunt. Damien prefers to stay in his true form, and may even be in that form while Kylar is in his human one. Because of this, there is a common misconception that The Ripper is only one shifter and not two.

Dangerous; Naturally silver-tongued, Kylar comes off as a very social, even friendly person. He’s good at getting people to like him, and most of those times he uses that to his advantage to get a meal out of them. He’s extremely manipulative and has very few real attachments to others.
Approachable; Part of what makes Kylar a successful killer and dangerous is that he comes off as a very approachable person. Some of it comes from his charming personality, but he tends to hold himself in a welcoming way.
