Kukri knife An ornate, highly valuable ceremonial knife with an inwardly curved blade. The handle is silver and the blade steel, and both are decorated with very intricate patterns with personal meaning to Xaviere. Worn on her hip, primary weapon.
Dirks Xaviere carries three dirks of various sizes - straight, thin-bladed knives with silver handles and steel blades, though less beautiful and ornate than the kukri. Two are strapped to her outer thigh, and the smallest to her upper arm.
Apartment Xaviere rents one of the nicest apartments available in Spirit, of which the King of Thieves is the indirect landlord. Two bedrooms, luxurious living and a view of the river, it's in one of the most sought-after streets.

Features Traditionally pretty, though angular relative to Humans. Full lips, natural pout, high cheekbones.
Eyes Wide set and very striking, outlined heavily in black kohl. Clear, pale grey in colour.
Hair Long, almost to the small of her black, and silver-blonde. Constantly moves as if stirred by a breeze.

Ruthless, cold, cruel. Xaviere is the antithesis to the Fae's ancestral beliefs, a Fairy who has forsaken the sacred traditions of her people in favour of a more hedonistic life. She is sarcastic, acerbic, and does not suffer fools. Smart and streetwise, she can be quick to judge and blunt in her assessment of others. Xaviere loves luxury, is vain and shallow, but she's also adaptable, a survivor of being born into a world she was never going to fit. She's very sexual and loves intimacy, though not commitment. She will use sexuality as a weapon, frequently, and she is naturally mistrustful of others because she herself is untrustworthy. Cunning, manipulative, but quite good fun when she's in the right mood.
History
Xaviere felt different from the others even as a child. Solemn, detached, she never took to the communal Fae way of life, to the deep connection with nature, to the social aspects of her upbringing. As a result she lived on the fringe of her community, a puzzle to her parents and ever so slightly unsettling, off-putting, to the other Fae. And they were right to be wary of the beautiful, striking young Fairy, for she was not very old - still an adolescent - when she abandoned the Forest of the Fae and the Mount for good. Xaviere knew she was drawn to the cities more than the forests, but she was also a great lover of comfort and luxury, so when the offer to train under a private assassin arose she took it with little hesitation. At just sixty years old she completed her first contract and was permanently banished from her original home for violating the Fae's belief in the sanctity of life, and their law not to kill unjustly.
Xaviere operated as a private assassin for many years, taking those contracts that appealed to her, her clients finding her by word of mouth. For many years it was anything but glamorous, but with time she honed her skill and gained the attention of better paid contractors, wanting harder kills completed. She settled in Spirit, slowly amassing the wealth that she craved, but the real turning point was when the King of Thieves took note of her skill and hired her as his personal assassin. The role is now attached to the King, meaning Xaviere serves whomsoever happens to occupy the role, although the contract renews annually. She is also free to take private contracts as her time allows. Finally, she is earning enough to feel like she's made it, and she's never been happier.

The King of Thieves
The King of Thieves is actually the title of a notorious Spirit gangster, and has less than nothing to do with actual royalty. While the title technically passes to whomever is the most powerful in the underworld of Spirit at the time, the title has been held by a large gang called the Ravens for nearly a century now, passed from master to apprentice upon the title holder's death. The current King of Thieves is a 160 year old Tainted Celestial called Lazarus. He is Xaviere's primary employer and pays her on a salary with bonuses contract, as well as providing an apartment in Spirit. Their relationship is a business one first and foremost, but they are intimate with each other on a very non-exclusive basis.
