(Finders keepers, losers weepers)
Oh yeah”
Appearance:
General Features: Ahman's body is built lean and defined. For a daemon, he is a bit taller than most and stands at five foot eight. Ahman carries himself proudly and boldly due to his status, title, and coin. Instead of having the unattractive Nosferatu features from his father's side, Ahman gained more of his mother's Icarus features. He has an oblong face shape with an average sized fleshy nose. He can come off as showy and striking, perhaps even handsome with his pale skin.
There are no major flaws with his complexion, save for an old brand mark on his right pectoral. It's design is cube like and shapes a short of labyrinth. Picture Age marks are also starting to form, but they are faint.
Hair: To add to his charm, Ahman has natural, stylish hair. Also given to him from his mother's side, Ahman actually has thick, very dark brown hair. It is difficult for him to keep his short hair flat, so he normally lets it be. While it is thick, it is also a bit on the oily side. He always keeps it short, no more than a few inches.
He also keeps a five o'clock shadow, well trimmed for facial hair. Very rarely is he ever clean shaven.
Eyes: While the rest of him may be attractive and striking, Ahman's eyes appear more dangerous and daunting. It may be rare, but this daemon has menacing dark-red eyes, almost maroon with a sort of green lining on the farthest portion of the pupil. Only when someone is up-close can the green be noticed. His eyes appear very cold and full of hate. There are no signs of any 'humanity' in him.
Clothes: Ahman is perhaps the wealthiest man in Spirit (and one of the wealthiest in Litharia), so he hardly ever dresses casual. Most of his clothing consists of calf-length tunics or robes. The most casual he gets is wearing laced shirts. Fabric ranges from wool to silk and all of his clothing has nice weaving. The color range is mostly dark. All of his attire has some sort embroidery.
As a sign of wealth and power, Ahman also wears quite a number of rings. There is no ring on either of his thumbs or pinkies. On his left ring finger is a simple and small silver ring with carved-in designs. There is an oval shaped emerald stone cut on it. On his left middle is a family heirloom ring, made from a mixture of silver and steel. There are two dragons designed on it, with a sword in the middle, both snouts which point towards a small circular-cut ruby. Ahman's left index has the largest ring, which is made mostly from iron with a large triangular diamond cut. For his ring finger, his most recent jewelry was designed by the witch Nevan. It is a daylight ring that allowed him to walk openly in the sun. The ring is pretty unimpressive to the rest he worse; it was composes of silver with simple, swirl-like engravings lined with emerald. In its center was a white stone that, if broken, would break the entire sun-walking spell.
His right hand only holds two rings, both without any large gem. His index has a ring made from steel, purely with design and no gems. The right middle ring is a simple design and is made purely of silver with three very small emerald cuts.
Weapons: Ahman knows how to use his claws and fangs very well. With his status, this daemon actually has to kill quite a bit. In fact, there probably is not a week where he does not kill someone, whether it be because of anger, a thief, or just someone that won't leave him alone. Because of this, he actually uses his claws and fangs most of the time. He owns weapons only for show in his estates. The only other 'weapon' he'd use is his abilities.
Pets:
Hound: Hound is a Death Hound that Ahman came across in the Marshes while trying to cure his curse. He holds no love for the creature he calls Hound and keeps it in his estate to guard it, rarely ever taking it out. Hound is naturally aggressive and attacks nearly anyone that is not a vampire daemon. Because of his collar, Ahman can command him not to attack certain people, and he obliges.
“Sycophants on velvet sofas
Lavish mansions, vintage wine
I am so much more than Royal
Snatch your chain and mace your eyes”
Lavish mansions, vintage wine
I am so much more than Royal
Snatch your chain and mace your eyes”
Personality:
Heartless; To put it simple, Ahman is no good guy. He is not nice, compassionate, sympathetic, caring, none of those. In fact, he is purely mean spirited, full of hate and bitterness. There is not a single part of him that is capable of caring or loving. He is indifferent to sadism, empathy, or seeing others in pain.
Selfish; He’s rich. And because of that, Ahman does not give a damn about a single other person in existence. All he spends his coin on is himself. It does not matter if a beggar on the street begs him for coin, or if there was even someone dying at his feet. He would walk away and pay no attention to the two desperate people.
Greedy; Ahman is always wanting to earn more money, to capture more potential slaves and to sell them off. He always wants many things at once, and normally he gets these things. He is used to getting whatever he wants, therefore is very open about his greed and does not care how others perceive him because of it.
Slaver; Nearly anyone qualifies as a slave, in his opinion. Ahman always breaks slave's spirits and 'trains' them before selling them. Even though he was once a slave himself, he feels no connection to the people he trains and sells. Of course, being as wealthy as he is, Ahman keeps a slave or two around him. But they are primarily for feeding on and don't stick around for long. That is because he drains them of blood while feeding on life, even if he is not a sanguine by blood. He most certainly is by nature. In his mind, everyone is fair game.
Wealthy; Around his two estates, one in Spirit and a smaller one in the City of Thieves, he actually hires servants rather than keep slaves, so there is no mutiny planned against him. And since he avoids having any problems with a revolt, Ahaman actually treats his servants decently. And they have they're respect for him, since he treats them better than anyone else.
Vampiric; Since he is a mix-breed vampire, Ahman will consume blood from nearly anyone that is not a filthy beggar or slum dog. He preys on the weak minded, people that cannot resist his abilities. And normally, he takes as much as he pleases. Sometimes he completely drains his victims till death.
“Mortal kings are ruling castles
Welcome to my world of fun
Liars settle into sockets
Flip the switch and watch them run”
Welcome to my world of fun
Liars settle into sockets
Flip the switch and watch them run”
History:
There was nothing good about Ahman's childhood, which may explain all the hate and bitterness that he holds now. While he may have not been born a slave, it was still at an extremely young age that he was captured and used as one.
He was born to two humans that had no real desire for a child in their lives, but they did not simply give Ahman away. They decided it was best to take care of him until he could go on with his own life. They only ended up having Ahman for ten years.
Not a few days after they began to move into the City, a renowned group of slavers ambushed the family. They only wanted the young boy and promised Ahaman's parents that they would live in exchange for him. So they gave him up and moved on with their lives, leaving Ahaman to the awful fate of a slave.
The slavers sold him to another daemon by the name of Feynen, which was with whom he stayed with most of his life and is where he gained the branded mark on his chest from. His master was not merciful to a child and would beat him constantly over and over. There was only one reason Ahman was his slave though, and that was to feed. Feynen was a nosferatu and Icaraus half-breed and was well known for 'keeping livestock' around him. When he was not feeding off Ahman, he was beating him. The once human boy was turned to the same type of half-breed like Feynen, not long after he was bought.
The relationship between master and slave soon grew more complex. Feynen started limiting the beatings and feeding and actually began to talk with Ahman, who was in his early hundred's at the time. Feynen would always explain how he was growing old and that he would die soon, but Ahman had no idea why the man was telling him in the first place. After a few weeks of hearing nothing but that, Feynen started to bring up Ahman's birth parents, whom he never knew and wanted to know about.
His master explained how his parents did not want him and gave him to slavers just to save themselves. It took a long while for Ahman to accept this, but he began to do so once Feynen went back to the feeding and beatings. Ahman grew to loathe his parents, but not just them. After knowing that his parents had given him up, he simply grew to hate everyone. The other slaves, his parents, himself, everyone. That was Feynen's plan, however.
The night before the elder daemon died, he gave Ahman his family heirloom ring and officially handed ownership of the estate to him. Feynen died that night, and Ahman was unsure of what to do with himself for two whole centuries. He stayed in the old house, brooding over what he could do with his life. Being so unsure slowly drove him towards insanity, and one day he just snapped. Ahman slaughtered many innocent people to take his frustration out on. It was during that massacre that he realized what he was and what he could do. It took him a while, but he figured going into the slave business would be the right occupation for him, as contradictory as it was to his past.
It took at least another century before Ahman made a name for himself. He started getting a massive amount of coin and sold the best slaves, using Feynen's old estate to break them. He began to have power as well and become one of the most renowned slavers in Litharia. Ahman did not just lay back and relax, however. He searched and searched for his parents throughout the century until he one day found them within the City, and, without regret, killed them.
Ahman grew bitter and selfish with his power and wealth and never allowed anyone to get close to him. He eventually bought another, much smaller 'estate' in the City of Thieves for when he conducted business there. Currently, he still has his two estates, status, and power.
Recently: Recently, Ahman was cursed by one of the Litharian gods. For months he worked on curing himself, and after doing so the daemon lord, Gabriel, contacted him and informed him that he held the Eldest Daemon rank. Ahman ended up agreeing to act as an advisor to the daemon lord. During his process of curing himself, the vampire came across a death hound that he continues to call Hound. The creature stayed with him and guards his estate.
Later, he had an annoying run in with a boy named Nevan. The boy turned out to be a witch, and Ahman saw some use in that. He forced the boy to work for him by threatening his life and mother. Despite how much the boy infuriated him while he was in Ahman's employ, the vampire dealt with it due to his genius potions and magical items. After a short while, he decided to turn the boy into a vampire as well.
Roleplay Sample:
Ahman was sick and tired of the slave's bantering. It was that same thing that every other damn slave told him. 'You're so cruel and heartless.' Well obviously. He was one of the wealthiest men in all of Litharia. There was no way he would get there with kindness and joy. No, to have status, one had to play dirty. And that was what he did for a living. Played dirty.
The young girl, a cat shifter he believed, sobbed and cried, avoiding eye contact with him. That was good. Slaves were never to make eye contact with their masters unless instructed to. With the whip in his hand, he lashed out at her. The sound of leather tearing into flesh was a comforting one. While he did not always enjoy torturing the young and innocent, that did not mean he never did. The young girl already had a large mass of flesh and blood hanging from her back, so Ahman handed the whip to one of his employers and dusted himself off.
"Make sure you break her by tonight. I am going to the square to sell off some of these sorry sods, and I want her to be included." Laceration marks were extremely painful, but they eventually healed. No one would mind purchasing a girl that had her back pretty much skinned off. The man grinned and let Ahman pass, closing the heavy iron door behind him. Knowing his workers, Ahman realized that the hireling would probably rape the poor girl.
Oh well.
