Items, Weapons and Pets
Warhorses: 16hh light cavalry mare (Allegra) and 18hh heavy cavalry stallion (Ghost)
Longsword: Thrasius' primarily ceremonial sword, heavy and designed for two-handed use on the ground. Features a bright white blade inlaid with black pearl, and a black hilt inlaid with a mixture of white and black pearl designs. This sword is also a working Black Sorcerer artifact, although is not Thrasius' primary artifact.
Sabre: Thrasius' primary weapon for actual use, designed for fighting on horseback. Far simpler and more utilitarian than his ceremonial sword, and not a magical artifact.
Bow: Thrasius uses a standard recurve bow. Although primarily a cavalry swordsman, he is also a trained archer.
Crown: Heavy, extremely intricate, and black in colour. Inlaid with black and white pearl designs, matches the ceremonial longsword. Also a working artifact.
Artifact: The King's crown and ceremonial sword are both magical artifacts as well as important ceremonial pieces, however as they're not worn constantly Thrasius also owns and wears a simple black pearl pendant as his primary artifact.
Children
Thyrsis Crown Prince, 5 years old
Martyn 5 years old, twin
Zyanya 4 years old
Rayyan 1 year old
Appearance
Features: Refined and very elegant, with a strong chin and nose.
Eyes: Light green
Hair: Wavy, brown, worn nearly shoulder length
Complexion: Olive
Body Type: Just under 6 foot in height, muscular and lean from a strict training regime
Attire: Thrasius is always either in ceremonial dress or battle garb. His ceremonial clothing is elegant, luxurious, intricately detailed and absurdly expensive. His family's colours are black, white and gold so almost everything he owns and wears comes in some mixture of these colours. For private occasions a more relaxed attire is permitted however it remains expensive, luxuriant and carefully colour-coordinated. His battle garb is more practical and he wears the same thing as any human soldier to train, however in actual battle situations owns and uses a ridiculously expensive and decorative armour set meant to set him apart as the leader of his army.
Personality
Thrasius has matured from a petulant, often angry child, through a rebellious and headstrong adolescence, into an increasingly ruthless and powerful adult. While he has good intentions for his rule, his magic has grown steadily darker as his powers develop, taking a turn towards the necromancy branch of spirit magic. Alongside these magical changes his personality has developed; while he remains generally good-natured, with a easy sense of humour and deep love for his family, a hint of darker cruelty has begun to emerge. He reserves this side of himself for the less pleasant aspects of his duties, and remains a loving, attentive father to his children, a devoted and besotted husband to Arik, and a generally benign though sharp and active King intent on making the lives of his citizens better. Thrasius is a serious person; very dedicated and driven, he prefers strict routine to govern his life, and is no longer the spontaneous and reckless youth that ran away to the desert to find love. He is still young and changes to his personality can still be expected; it is likely his adult self will be drastically reshaped by his environment, and the major events of his life still to come - be they negative or positive.
History
Thrasius experienced a strangely mixed childhood of excess and deprivation. He had everything he could have wanted in material terms; the best clothing and food, an extensive private education, weaponry and battle training, horses and falcons. And yet, emotionally, he was desperately bereft; his parents were disinterested in him at best, his tutors and caregivers coolly distant and professional, the children of his father's court either intimidated by his status as Prince or unkind, jealous, and exclusionary because of it. He was very lonely as a child, as a result, with his only close relationship being with his sister Stefanie. He trained and studied religiously for a lack of anything else to do with his time, never setting a toe out of line. At least, not until Stefanie was changed.
When he was a young teenager, the Princess met the Daemon Lord Gabriel and through circumstances Thrasius is still not privy to, became a Daemon herself. Stefanie was exiled as a result, and though she did eventually return to the castle for a time, Thrasius was furious at his parents for driving away his sister. He became headstrong and rebellious - shirking his education and training responsibilities, venturing ever further from safe human lands on spontaneous adventures, meeting and talking to people outside his social sphere who his parents would have disapproved of deeply. During this phase of his life he met the powerful Water Mage Arik and fell immediately in love with her. Their courtship was complicated and nearly led to Thrasius' abdication, however lacking any other sons or close relatives to continue their rule, Quirinoh and Anmaree were forced to accept Thrasius' marriage to Arik and his subsequent ascension to the throne. During the turmoil early in Arik and Thrasius' relationship Stefanie left the human world for good, and has not been seen or heard of since.
Thrasius did not expect to become King so soon after his marriage to Arik, but Quirinoh's declining mental health made the transition necessary when he was only twenty four. He and Arik had their four children in quick succession; the twins Thyrsis and Martyn, with elder twin Thyrsis taking the title of Crown Prince, followed by Princess Zyanya and the youngest, another boy called Rayyan. As Thrasius is the first King in living memory to marry outside his own bloodline they make a concerted effort to bring Arik's water magic and desert culture and heritage into Castle life, with frequent ceremonies, festivals and celebrations from both sides of the children's heritage included in their upbringing. Thrasius is now an attentive, driven and focused King, with the primary goal of establishing a less fraught relationship with the Shifters and fortifying the Humans against Fae threats without encouraging further overt war.
